Character vs Culture

It's true, I am sick of hollywood, I no longer see them as showing movies, that are representitive of us, americans.

I can't help but think about it, as a great remake of Jimmy Stewart's Flight of the Phoenix. Dennis Quaid, was a great selection, to play the same part.

But it's sad that there aren't any modern day Jimmy Stewart's.

When World War 2 came along, he joined, not in some safe desk job, but as a bomber pilot, and he worked his way up to be a General of Fighter Planes.

That's the kind of actor, i like, who doesn't mind showing his pride for our country.

But neither political party is perfect, i realize now it never will be. Until the power is back in the people's hands.

I just see more and more people, seeing the constitution as something to be changed rather than enforced, and that bothers me.

It really saddens me that courts try to modify the consitution thru precendence, instead of realizing that it's up to legislature to write law, and the courts to enforce the law of the land.

It's sad that their only weapon of change is the courts and they use it to get laws passed that, the people of the land, don't want passed.

The DFL used to be the party of the people, for the people. Instead they have become the party of give the entitlements to as many as possible to help get more votes.

Stop the borders from working, destroy our education system, and just throw money at problems, hoping money is enough. And tax the rich as if the people who work hard for their money are responsible for the poor.

We have to accept responsibility for our own lives, if we're not happy or healthy or wealthy, then do something about it.

And as the DFL has more and more deteriotated into being a shouting/screaming match, instead of trying to actual solve problems.

The Republicans have problems as well, in how they want to deal with Illegal Immigrants, not getting rid of the IRS, and going to a National Sales Tax.

If we want to be a great country again, like how Ronald Reagan says, "The Big City on the hill."

Then we must work together towards common goals.

Like freedom, liberty, prosperity and happiness.

We need to learn to be civil to each other again...and find ways to work together, for common goals, and then try to resolve issues politely...

Is that really too hard?

Because yelling solves nothing.

1. We must understand that capitalism is a better solution than socialism, because the harder you work, the more you get. With socialism there is no motive to work hard, and the economy goes downhill because of that.

2. We must reward hard workers with by letting them keep their own money.

After the Election

Here I am, glad that President George W. Bush, and wondering if everything I wanted is attainable.

He's going in the right direction for the war, put more people in, get it settled quick, let the iraqi people create their own free/democratic government...

Then gradually let their own police/military take over...Which may take a year..or less or more...

But now there's the handling of immigration and budget. We do need to improve our military spending, so that if we need to take action, we won't run out of personnel or supplies, as we had thru all of Clintons, peacekeeping actions.

Military is meant for war, not for peacekeeping.

There is a realistic need to prepare ourselves against real enemies, on the other hand, the increase in pay for federal employees, amnesty for illegal aliens, and increase in budget deficit cap limit, are those the examples of a Fiscal Conservative?

Being a fiscal conservative means spending little, but doing much. Or that if we do spend money, it has to be towards a specific goal, with a plan to realistically attain that goal. And if that goal can not be met, then no spending is allocated.

Let's face it, George W. Bush is a Moderate Republican. The things he does so well on, do over-shadow the things he could improve upon.

We all realize there's no way Senator Kerry was competent to handle the U.S. Government in wartime, or actually anytime..

But now where do we want to go, as a people and as a nation?

I do have a libertarian bent, that tells me that we need to control costs, and aim for smaller government persistently.

Not no government, not anarchy, but a government that urges, encourages self-responsibility.

Declaration of Responsibility

We've been raised on the importance of our Declaration of Independence, as our stance of not being dependent on other nations, and to declare our freedoms. This was great, and is part of our national heritage.

But as our national character has changed, I think it's time for a new declaration, a declaration of responsibility.....

We are all so tired of the degradation of our families, neighborhoods, cities, states and country, that in order to rectify it, we need some changes.

The country was founded to be run by the people, for the people. Which is great for giving citizen's rights, and select powers to those in office and governmental positions. But what about Citizen Responsibilities?

Have we forgotten all that we lost, in order to gain our rights, only to turn our country into just another degenerate european country, that has falled into corruption, and building and peoples that are just falling apart?

Well I think it's a time for a change, an improvement.

Our own parent's have caused us conservatives, to idolize the 1950's, there were some great and some horrible times. But we must move forward, have new ideas, new visions, new plateaus to conquer.

In order for our country to have great leaders, we must again, become a great nation of responsible citizens.

It's been to easy to be lazy, and just let everything go to heck, well let's wake up, and get started on our work....

It's sort of like the feeling of a new father/mother or husband/wife, realizing that not only does he/she have the responsbility for the work at job, but also has responsibilities at home, to take care of the kids, pay the bills, take the trash out, etc....

Now we must gradually assume new responsibilities, in the following declaration. I only pray that God loves my words and that I can only aim towards Thomas Jefferson's standards.

Declaration of Responsibility

We the people, run this fine nation, from fast food workers to ceo's. We are the fuel that makes this country work from day to night, etc.

We may be a nation of great workers, but are we a nation of great citizens?

We formed this nation to be free, freedom from tyranny of economy, religion and spirit. To find new frontiers where by our own efforts create a better home and world for our own children. Isn't that at heart, the foundation of the American Dream? To create a better world for our children.

We have all these great rights that protect us from each other, criminals and all those who would abuse or tormet us.

But what have we done to pay for those rights?

Is it enough to just pay your taxes and vote regularly, is that a full payment of your rights to be a citizen?

I say no!

If you can look around your neighborhood, either as a home-owner, or renter, and:

1. Do not know any of your neighbors, or meet with them on regular basis.
2. Ignore any of the trash on the streets, or graffiti on the walls, because you are afraid
3. Do not even take care of your place, to show that you take pride in your home.

There is this mental picture that to be a cooperative neighbor, like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, means you are a mentally challenged person. That is not true.

If we want a better world, how can we dare make that happen, unless we start by having better neighborhoods?

We have in the Bill of Rights a list of rights, now I declare a Bill of Responsibilities.

Bill of Responsibilities

1. We are responsible for visiting with all our neighbors at least once every 2-3 months. Getting to know your neighbors, will create that cooperative willingness to look after each other, to protect, to create a friendlier and safer environment for you and your kids.
2. You must have a clean home inside and outside, we're not asking for perfection, but that it is sanitized, reasonably clean lawns, and drive-ways. Do this not for us, do this to become an example of a good parent, a good homeowner. You wonder why so many kids have bad habits in cleaning up their own rooms, when we do not really take care of our own homes so well?
3. We must set educational expectations for all our kids, that they can not leave home, until they can prove they can read, write and do math. We do not need to have college educated children, but we must have educated children, whether it be home-schooled, private or public schools.
4. We must make an effort to smile more, say hello to people we meet on the street. Wouldn't you rather have a 1000 smiling hello's than 1000 people afraid of being victims, or too hurried to even enjoy beautiful days?
5. We must visually and emotionally demonstrate our pride for our neighborhoods, cities, states and country. You are more than entitled to disagree, or to urge differente economical paths, but as President George W. Bush says, you are either with us, as a nation of American's, or against us. For example, if you are against the war, that's fine, but you must still support the troops, understand the distinction.
6. Have neighborhood charity programs where you run events to raise money, or do activities to improve the quality of life.
7. Support your Fire, Police, National Guard and Armed Forces. We know when they make mistakes, but how often do we give them recognition for when they do good. Please let us give back to the people who everyday protect us!
8. Treat all government programs, as money coming directly from your pocket, too often we have distanced ourselves from who the source of these free money giveaways, such as those advertised by Matthew Lesko. The government does nothing to earn money, except by collecting money to pay for programs, defense, organizations. It's your money not the governments, so less taxes, means we can keep more, and spend it where we choose.
9. Respect the Congress, Senate, Judicial and Presidency. Treat it with honor and respect the position deserves. You can still vote/not vote for people, but it's time we showed respect for those people, who everyday work to create a smoother running government. And maybe if we showed up enough times, they'd be more motivated to make it better for our individual needs as well.
10. Run for local government offices, if we don't like how things are run, then run for office.

Regarding number 10, I have two great stories to tell.

For example, former actor/singer Sonny Bono entered politics after experiencing great frustration with local government bureaucracy in trying to open a restaurant in Palm Springs, California. With local conservative talk radio host Marshall Gilbert as his campaign manager (and later as the godfather of his two children by his new wife), Bono placed a successful bid to become the new mayor of Palm Springs. He was instrumental in making the city more business-friendly and for spearheading the creation of the Nortel Palm Springs International Film Festival, now held each year in Bono's honor. After unsuccessfully running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 1992, Bono was elected to the United States Congress in 1994 to represent the 44th Congressional District of California. He introduced the controversial Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act during his tenure to benefit the music industry and also championed the restoration of the Salton Sea, bringing the giant lake's plight to national attention. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich made a public appearance and speech at the shore of the lake on Bono's behalf.

And then there's former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, he got interested as a child into politics, because there was this zoo that wasn't doing things right, so he went to City Hall, and got involved to make things better.

From top to bottom, what makes this nation great are it's people, it's not the dollar value, it's not our technology, it's not what party we belong to. It's the people with our desire to have a common bond, to unite us as one nation under God.

The old melting pot story, we keep all our heritage, but to enable us to work together, we use a common language, english, and each of us works hard to put food on the plate, raise our kids right and create a better world for our kids, then what we had.

The last thing I say, is that no money, nothing can take away from the values of character and integrity, it's one of the things that makes American's so interesting.

So let's work together as one nation, to make our families, neighborhoods, cities, town, states and country the best place it can be.

After all, there's no one else who will, and are you really happy with the way things are?

What makes a great president?

In the last 40 years, our ideas of what a good/bad president has come to challenge us, and make us identify what a great president is...

This was reviewed on Fox and Friends, a couple weeks ago.

But what struck me, was that this former liberal reporter, started to tell the truth.

That our idea that intelligence equals great president is not true.

That all this slander of specific Presidents not being intelligent was a complete lie, specifically President Ronald Reagan.

This goes to the issue with the problems with Liberal Democrats today, they have no desire to have honest conversation, so that at the very least we can be civil, and at least understand each other's point of view.

But this Modern Liberalism, is a method by the rich democrats, to use emotional language that causes their consitutioncy to depend on them and bigger government to take care of them, until we are like how Communist Russia used to be.

I am not here to insert that every democrat is evil or idiotic or anything like that. Most of them are very nice people, who don't understand the reality of certain situations, or don't want to face them, and therefore become emotionally defensive when challenged.

We are now part of the natural slide from Permissiveness to Prudism, which is a natural ebb and flow through out the cycles of time.

And let's just say that President George W. Bush wins, will that make all our problems go away, assuming that Republicans in political domination will behave differently than democrats fighting to keep their power?

Power does corrupt, so we must have a balanced and incremental path to keep balanced.

Well what does it take to make a better America?

Well it depends on what you consider a better america. Do you want to create a communistic world where, it is incredibly poor service, and hardly anyone has a job, and if they do, they don't work hard, since hard work is not rewarded or recognized.

Or a world that depends and rewards individual effort, and drive to be the best.

Either extreme is not perfect and get swayed into areas we need get in.

So what must be done, once the election is over?

1. Permanently fix the tax code, to just a sales tax, no more tax codes, and fire the IRS. It improves revenue gathering, while also simplifying how we pay it.

2. Move all social security monies into personally managed medical savings accounts. And make participation voluntary.

3. Change the SEC/Wall Street system so that it completely elimits all game playing, and that the only reason to participate is to invest in a company for growth reasons. It's become too much a gambling institution

4. Tort Reform - If you want to make a suit, plaintiff's have to pay a mandatory $100 to start a suit. Also completely eliminate precedence. Courts can send messages to legislature to suggest that new laws be created, but can not over-write or interfere with current lawas, unless life/death of person is involved. And if they interfere, then it is on a case per case basis, not on precendence...

5. Ticket System - Police can stop you for bad driving or speeding but they can not penalize you unless you hurt someone or cause damage. But they can make comments that get on your record and communicated to your insurance company. That is mandatory, no matter how small it is.

6. State Colleges must become privately funded, unless they prove to be able to meet merit performance standards.

7. Elementary to High School - each class must both pass statewide tests for certification of grade level, and also compete across the state, and the school with the most passing and higher scores that percentage gets that percentage of their state funding. Compete and Earn it and you get it.

8. State/Federal Government Program funding - all programs must have yearly/quarterly goals, to both reduce spending 10% from last year, and to meet measurable goals. Also there shall be a committe of congress/senate to identify pork programs that have to be killed. And they also identify programs that really are not needed. Another part of their role is to identify programs that have over spent and over budgeted in the last year, and sue the management and creator of such programs for that extra money. We must spend money and time only on really good programs that actually reach measurable, determinable goals...

Anyways that's just the tip...

Like going over all laws, legislation to simplify the language, identify the original intention, and if the law did not accomplish the intention, or if the intention was immoral or unconstitutional then it is to be immediately retracted.

"A compass is a simple instrument. It reads the magenetic forces of the earth and points to magnetic north. If you get it too close to another magnet, it can give you a false reading. In the hands of a skilled scout, it can help keep you on the right path.

In the Scout Oath, we promise to be morally straight. Like the needle of a compass, our morals guide us on the paths of life. There are influences giving you false information, but if you remain true to the morals you have learned from parents, church leaders, and scouting, you can keep on the correct path."

This is just a brilliant but simple explanation.

But it strikes so true, to each and every one of us.

Think about it, tell me what you think?

Diversity vs Melting Pot

When I was a kid in Elementary School, they taught us and showed us films, how we are 1 nation, a melting pot of races, creeds and cultures, and that is what makes us strong.

The diversity is not what makes us strong, it's that so many people can come together for a common vision, freedom, liberty, and to hope for a better world for their children or grand-children.

My own grandfather, Morris Rothstein, came from Russia, when he was 15 years old, and that was in the early 1900's.

Was he a smart or skilled man, no? But he was willing to do whatever work he could do so that he could feed his family and educate his children.

Every day he worked at low-paying jobs, just to provide a better world.

Well now here we are, is this that much a better world?

In some ways yes, we have longer healthier lives, in terms of our bodies.

Our minds have newer knowledge, technologies and methods to work and play with.

But our souls are less enriched.....

I'm saying it bluntly, we've lost touch with what makes this a great nation.

Because in the 1960's to 1980's we became a me country that cared more about credit cards, Cell phones, gears and gadgets, sex and music....

Now when you focus a whole couple decades on a certain spectrum of life, there are other parts of life that tend to get neglected.

1. How do we connect and raise our children, who raises our children, us or someone else?
2. Do we even have families or marriages any more?
3. Do our children know why to get married?
4. Is there any committed relationships anymore?
5. Do we get along and know our neighborhoods anymore?
6. Do we even care if how the ethical and moral consequences to our decisions, now and in the past?????

I don't think so, the secular life has taken over completely.

Now I am a former secularist, in that as a child I was always running away from belonging to religious services, but as I grew older, I realized, the importance of morality and character and integrity.

Of course there are imperfections in all things, even in religion. But the lack of religion, really hurts us as a people and a nation.

Because even with all the problems Religion has, it still makes a more ethical, responsible and moral country.

We are not here to shove a specific/religion down, but to show the importance of a moral compass, that we need to be raised and trained for that. I am not saying secularists/athiests can't develop one, but so far they havent' created a system to reinforce a moral compass.

It comes down to your moral compass, what you think right and wrong is.

I mean, it shows how down the hellhole we've gone, when we try to remove the 10th commandment from our legal courts.

Who are your heroes?

Heroes can come in any shape, size or sex.

To me, a hero is someone who stands up for a strong moral purpose against those who would do harm, or inhibit our freedoms.

The special thing about America, is that we were built to be a land of heroes.

Where any man/woman anywhere can step up, and become a hero.

And I'd like to remind you of, my current heroes:

1. Ronald Reagan - He was so much smarter than he let anyone know, but he lead with a moral vision, and never let anyone get in the way of that.
2. Todd Beamer - He showed the power of the everyman, that we can choose to die fighting evil, rather than let others die in our name.
3. President George W. Bush - Simply he knows who the enemy is and goes after them. He's not a great president, but he does have a good moral compass.
4. Newt Gingrich - He was a historian, who dreamed of a better world thru the Contract With America. He still has something to offer us, if he wants to.
5. Abraham Lincoln - He's my hero not because of the slavery, but because of his persistence in life.
6. Ken Starr - He had to be neutral in trying to investigate the most evil/crooked President we've ever had. That took a lot of strength and moral endurance.
7. Marget Thatcher/

Here are my top list of villians:

1. Bill/Hillary Clinton - Not for being on seperate party, that's their right. However they are so crooked, massive liars. They may be popular, but they are the most immoral couple ever.
2. Osama Ben Ladin - Just kill him. No need to waste words on him.
3. Michael Moore - Simply a populist liar/thief/crook. Trying to pose himself as a documenter.
4. Al Gore - Does he ever tell the truth? Nope.
5. Jimmy Carter - He created more ways for our enemies to attack us then any other president. As well as making treaties/deals left and right that he never enforced. Look at how he flopped up North Korea, just giving money, in the hope they'd not be evil. You can't treat evil people as if they can be civilly dealt with.

I mean, I am not saying there aren't bad repulican people, such as Jack Ryan or Richard Nixon.

But let's focus on truth for once, if it's true, then let's make sure that bad thing never happens again.

But the problem, the media and democrats just lie and lie and lie.

It proves my point that the urge for secularism only destroy's our moral compasses.

And that's why democrats are secular, the more immoral you are, the less likely you are to object what the democrats are doing to you?

Oh you just got paycheck, what percent is left over from gross to net? Has that difference grown or shrunk?

Well if you want actually to keep your money, start voting for more and permanent tax cuts.

Reagan-Economics works, we've just proven it again and again!

A Moral Vision

As we think and pause on the lessons learned from the late and great Ronald Wilson Reagan, it comes clearer and clearer to me at least, a moral vision.

As we have ascended from apes, to intelligent and civilized men/women, our paradigm of survival and economics have changed.

From hunting/gathering to agricultural methods of eating and keeping our families safe and alive, our methods keep changing and growing.

Economics is the common driver of all mankind today, either by our means of attaining food on our plate or by the reasons we work hard.

Economics forces us to either work or steal or die, there is no doubt about it.

So it is imperative to understand how economics shapes us, as well as how we shape economics.

It comes from this immoral fallacy called fairness, that life is expected to fair and easy, instead of what it really is, challenging and striving.

It comes down to a moral understanding of that economics, which can be very subtle. Just like the story of the pilgrims.

There was 1 man in the day of the pilgrims who refused to work, instead demanded food, instead of working. Captain John, denied that option, and forced that man to either to choose to leave the pilgrims and be on his own in the wilderness or to work. And that man realized the consequences of his choice, and chose to work for his food.

Each day we make decisions, some good and some bad. But as moral beings we must be aware of the consequences of those decisions.

In my own experiences in marriage and relationships, I learned an important lesson on give/take, on how vital it is to have a balance of give and take between people.

When that balance goes awry then people give too much or take too much, and end up destroying the relationship.

That also applies to us as American Citizens, we need to understand the give/take balance in how we live, breathe and inhabit the American life.

It starts with the moral vision of what America is about.

America is a melting pot, with people all over the world, who came together for a common dream, a common vision, a common bond.

To live in freedom from persecution, tyranny and evil.

But for America to really work well to provide that freedom, that requires that we all give back to America everytime we take something from it.

Instead of worrying about your next charity, try adding some of these on your list:

1. Take pride in your home and neighborhood, help each other, help America reclaim that old Neighborhood feeling.
2. Do not depend on the government for handouts and entitlements, when you are more than capable of working yourself. Work is God's greatest joy and pleasure.
3. Reconnect to your highest morality centers, go to church, synagogues, where ever it is that you look upward towards.
4. Let's all say goodbye to the credit card world, because we are not impressed by massive amounts of broke people, who way over spent their credit limits
5. Say hi to your fellow neighbors, get to know them.
6. Be a gentleman or gentlewoman, in being considerate and compassionate to everyone around you.

I don't claim to have all the answers, but is the America we are today, anything like what the founders imagined?

I say definitely not.

1. Government is way too big
2. Overspending is too much
3. Taxes are too high
4. Neighborhoods are not helping each other out, and creating that neighborhood unity
5. We don't take pride in ourselves, our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, our country.
6. We try too hard to maintain multi-cultures, instead of becoming 1 nation under god, with 1 language
7. We do not maintain our borders, to help maintain a rational measure of citizen growth.
8. Businesses are way too over-regulated
9. Those in power are as equally communist as those Ronald Reagan fought and converted
10. China is slowly showing that they are becoming the number one power, so be aware!

So bring back the core of American values....

One man's vision can change the world

California Paying Last Respects to Reagan

President Ronald Reagan, did it again and again, proving that 1 man with a great dream or vision, can change the world.

He is not a perfect person, not a single one of us is, but he showed through perseverence and character that we can dream together of a better America.

Oh it is so sad to my heart his passing, because in the 1980's I was a Gary Hart democrat.

But I knew in my heart of hearts, that Ronald Reagan was the real deal.

It wasn't the words as much as the character/heart behind it.

He taught us and led us so much in the right direction.

We should really be ashamed of how we have dragged America down from where it should be.

Let us mourn as one nation, even for a moment of this great man, who led us
to freedom and liberty!

The Gipper is dead

My Way News

I just found out the President Ronald Reagan has just passed away.

What a deep and saddening loss for our country.

President Ronald Reagan, truly was one our countries greatest presidents.

He took us from a time of Worry in Iran, and huge financial problems as caused by the Socialist President Jimmy Carter.

He was a leader through and through.

He had a lot of heart and integrity, and he was a fierce warrior of great ideals.

Because he has this great vision of how great a country America really is, that if we can get our act togeter, and do the right thing.

And because of his honest sincerety, we believed and fell in love with America again, he has passed on so many amazing lessons to help us understand what good government really is like.

For example one of my favorite quotes is:

"Peace through strength"

Simply meaning that evil people/enemies do not respect anything but strong responses, so that to gain peace we must be strong.

And that is so true in current times as well.

But I really want you all to think about him, the 80's, and let us honor him in his passing.

Great Comeback

As some of you may know, one of my sons serves in the military. He is
still stateside, here in California. He called me yesterday to let me know
how warm and welcoming people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he
goes, telling me how people shake their hands, and thank them for being
willing to serve, and fight, for not only our own freedoms but so that others may
have them also.

But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at
yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that ahead of several
people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha. He said when she
got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the US flag lapel pin the
cashier wore on her smock.

The cashier reached up and touched the pin, and said proudly, "yes, I
always wear it and I probably always will."

The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to stop
bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.

A gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his arm around
my son's shoulders, and nodding towards my son, said in a calm and gentle
voice to the Iraqi woman: "Lady, hundreds of thousands of men and women
like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could stand here, in MY
country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen. It is my
belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own country, we wouldn't
need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out

This is one of the things that irritate me about Presidential Nominee John Kerry.

I am going to say I disagree with him on his policies, if he ever actually sticks to his policy decisions.

But mainly I have a lot of disrespect for the man, because of how he, himself helped to end the Vietnam war with us losing, with help
of fellow demcorat Walter Cronkite, of course.

But here's the point, despite all his veteran/war protesting now he wants to claim as if he is the ally of the Veteran, when he's really
the enemy of the veterans.

I really do not feel he is qualified to run during the war years, if ever.

I am not a christian man, but even a Jewish man, can understand how valid what he is saying.

Simply the media, ACLU and the Liberals are all for destroying religion, so that they can stay in power and over-ride any possible moral force in our country.

I agree the church has had a lot of problems, but going away from religion is not the answer.

My unfavorate former-governor Jesse Ventura once said, "Organized religion is a crutch for weak-minded fools". And has he acted in a moral fashion? No.

If you don't want to be a religous person, fine, then lead by example the life of a moral man or woman without religion. I do believe it is possible, but is it necessary?

Okay, I know religion has it's problems, but we need to focus on the good things and how to improve religion.

The key benefit of religion is:

1. A central standard of rules to hold people to a higher moral standard of behavior and actions.
2. A unifying force to help us stand against horrible events or evil peoples
3. A healing, enlightening way to help us heal ourselves and our friends and neighbors
4. A way to how we treat others.

I am not here to shove a specific religion down your throat, but how many religious-bashing people have acted in a moral fashion?

It's more of a communistic method to attack our strengths. Sure there are problems, but do we avoid dealing with them or get stronger by facing the harsh truth, and then learning and moving on from there.

We are a free nation, but we are also supposed to be a moral one.

That we know what is right and wrong.

That when it comes between choosing the easy thing or the hard thing, we always focus on doing the right thing!

Understand the difference, I am not here to discriminate against you, I am telling you because of YOUR CHOICE TO BE A DEVIANT, that you do not have the same choices as those who would leave a more moral life.

This is a fascinating movie review, now I personally loved ID4, because it showed a strong president, and the common man who strove together to fight the aliens.

But now it's all about creating a crappy disaster movie which is all about liberal politics.

It's the liberal unstated goal.

Make every citizen feel like it is horrible unless they are under the blankets of governments welfare, mind controlling zombiness.

Vote for Democrats, ignore the facts, Power to the people as long as the people are dumb and keep paying more taxes, to pay for the Rich Democrats!

I saw the trailer when I saw the movie Troy.

I sort of liked Troy, but I like movies that are based on historical fact to stick to the historical facts. Because its' the historical facts that made those stories so great through out our time.

I am not going to see The Day After Tomorrow.

I'd rather dream of a better world, as like Martin King says it.

Or imagine in my mind the poem on the Statue of Liberty:

John Kerry should be anxious, because he may be found out as one of those that helped to create this crisis.

There's three things we need to do, anything other than these is at most a complete waste of time, money and insanity.

1. Deregulate Gasoline, do not force gasoline into all these unnecessary flavors. That will allow more quantity to come thru.
2. Drill for Oil in Alaska, so that we have a backup plan, in case OPEC decides to screw us over. Pardon my language.
3. Build more refineries, we've been so PRO-EPA, and so ANTI-BUSINESS that it was just not profitable to build refineries, and here we are paying the cost.

When we make decisions that affect our environment and economy, we must consider what the real, possible, and dangerous consequences of those decisions.

Which gets down to the real problem with Liberal Democrats, I honestly believe that the regular democrat, has great intentions, and wants America to be Great.

However, they are delusional in terms of what actions, votes, decisions that have to be made to get there.

Now here's the problem, the current model of Republican is nothing like what the Republican of the last 20-30 years.

We're not about the Christian Right, we're about morality, responsibility and economics.

1. Morality, because even though religion has it's problems it's always better than secularism or atheism, only because it teaches a moral compass, and helps us understand that there is a Right and Wrong.

2. Responsibility, as a man or woman we have responsibilities, to ourselves, to our parents, to our children, to our relatives, to our neighborhood and to our cities and countries.

But for so long we have lost that sense that we owe something, and have become the ME Generation. Well that's gone, it's not healthy, and no had a good life in the end.

Because even though being a good Man or Woman is a struggle, it is still a better path, than merely seeking pleasure, greed or any other sin, that leads us to unhealthy, unfulfilling lives.

We have a responsibility to each other from the day we are born to the day we die.

I'll talk more about this in another post.

3. Economics, because behind all the code-words and double-talk, economics really equals survival. In the caveman days, we could grow, hunt or barter for food or shelter.

But that's not where we are now, to earn survival, you must earn money.

So what is the role of Government in the gaining of money or property?

Simple, to get out of the way of the natural and healthy process of people working hard, and collecting the reward, recognition and benefit of that hard work.

Now if that work is done in an unethical, illegal manner than of course it should be stopped.

Now that does not mean that as a citizen, that they do not have responsibilties to their neighbor, city, or federal government.

But remember each company or corporation is merely a legal fiction disguising the people that operate or work for a company or corporation.

Of course there are those bad apples out there, but that does not describe all of them as being illegal, immoral or unethical.

Businesses must be allowed to grow, let us stop the worrying about:

Oh this company has too much money, or too much market share, or too much this or that. A very common complaint against businesses.

Who effing cares? As long as they earned it, by working hard to provide products or services to customers, they have every right to keep the dimes they earned!

Recently, entertainer Pat Boone wrote NewsMax editor Christopher Ruddy a letter regarding his feelings on Abu Ghraib and Iraq, the contents of which are published here with permission:

Dear Chris,

Hasn't anybody got the guts to accuse the worst perpetrator in this whole Abu Ghraib prison debacle - CBS and 60 Minutes II?


What do you call it when, in time of war, someone takes military intelligence and turns it over to the enemy, who in turn uses it to kill Americans?


Isn't that the definition of treason? Did Benedict Arnold do worse? Did Julias and Ethel Rosenberg pay with their lives for something like this?


It has already been well established, and CBS certainly knew, that the military announced to the press back in January that allegations had been made concerning treatment of prisoners and were being investigated.

In March there was another announcement that the allegations were still being investigated and certain service personnel at Abu Ghraib were relieved of their duties and might be court marshaled.


In other words, while America was fighting a war, the military had already taken the allegations seriously, were investigating them and were taking steps to correct the situation. In other words, it was being handled, and handled well.


These things happen in war on all sides, and though they are not excusable, they are kindergarten exercises compared to car bombs, ambushes, rocket launchings and dangling burning bodies over bridges - and this is what the interrogators at Abu Ghraib were trying to find ways to stop.


Freedom of the press is precious to us, but you can abuse any liberty and stretch it out of shape until it becomes license, and concerned citizens will call for limitations.


In this case, if CBS had really cared about the country, about our military, about doing the right thing, they would have taken these pictures, (which they had illegally) and asked the military and the Pentagon what was being done about the abuses (Although they most likely knew it, they would have been told that the matter was in hand and being taken care of).


Indeed, a general implored them not to publish the pictures because of what he knew would happen as a result.


CBS could have cared less.


In their mad competition for rating points, dollars, and seeing a great way to blast the President and the war effort in Iraq which they have continually denigrated and opposed, they broadcast they abhorrent pictures – and not just to the United States, BUT TO THE WORLD!


Knowing full well that we were walking a tight rope, trying to fight a war, quell disturbances and build a republic for Iraq in the midst of all the terrorist resistance, CBS published these abhorrent pictures knowing they would destroy completely our image and standing in the Muslim world.


And what about Osama bin Laden? What about the terrorists? What about America's image with all our allies around the world? And what about America's own self image and confidence in their leaders?


And what did the beheaders of Nick Berg say, just before they callously sawed his head off while he screamed, "This is in retaliation for what you Americans did to our people at Abu Ghraib!" And how did they know about these interrogation abuses?


Though poor Mr. Berg blames George Bush and Donald Rumsefld, it is incontrovertible that his son would be home with him right now had it not been for the publication of those pictures. Mr. Berg is pointing his finger in the wrong direction.


And as a direct result of CBS callous and patently unpatriotic action, America is suffering great loss of prestige around the world, and will for decades.

America has lost credibility with Muslims and the Arab world internationally, perhaps forever; and every American life is in far greater danger from terrorist reprisal, no matter who and where we are!


Freedom of the press is a cherished commodity, guaranteed by our Constitution. But freedoms, if they are to be maintained and to have the original meaning, must be treated with grave responsibility and restraint.


For me, CBS has become "the enemy within", and I hope never to watch the network again. I think most Americans ought to reflect on the results of their irresponsible and unpatriotic behavior and perhaps narrow their viewing options by one network. The next time America or Americans suffer at the hands of terrorists, thank CBS.

Gore's Elk Hills/Occidental Oil Scandal: Bigger Than Teapot Dome?

Vice President Al Gore endorsed the sale of a government oil field in 1998, the largest sale of federal property in the history of the U.S. government.
The Elk Hills Naval Petroleum Reserve, located near Bakersfield, California, was established in 1912 to help fuel Navy ships. President Clinton proposed the sale in 1995 saying the oil field no longer served a military purpose!


The DOE (Energy Department) received a total of 22 bona fide offers but decided to sell this "crown jewel" of oil and gas fields to Occidental Petroleum Corp. By selling off this resource the Clinton/Gore team eliminated the U.S. Navy's primary source of emergency crude oil. They argued that this field "no longer serves a national security purpose."


"We view this asset as becoming the crown jewel of our domestic operations," said Occidental Oil and Gas C.E.O. David Hentschel.


Couching this questionable attack on our National Security in conservative jargon, Patricia Godley, DOE's Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, claimed the sale was part of Al Gore's efforts to "reduce the size of government" and "return inherently non-federal functions to the private sector." The largest federal divestiture was also said to help "pay off the national debt."


The sale of this government oil field to Occidental Petroleum may have directly benefited Al Gore through his ownership of Occidental stock. While his aides denied Gore encouraged this sale, his booklet "Reinventing Government" called on the government to sell these precious oil reserves. Gore wrote "...Elk Hills Naval Petroleum Reserves... no longer serves its original strategic purpose for the Navy."


Gore called for the sale of this prime contingency source of fuel for the Navy, calling it "Common Sense Government." In an emergency, where will our Navy get its fuel? From Iraq?


The same Al Gore witnessed the loss, theft or sale of the crown jewels of our nuclear war know-how from Los Alamos National Laboratory. Whether these events are interconnected we do not know. That our national security has been seriously damaged is a certainty.

Their actions say, let's sacrifice any economic future and ability to be independent of oil-providing countries.

Remember the big oil crunch in California 2-years ago?

Well California had asked Texas to skip it's own oil regulations to help California, even though California would not drop it's own oil regulations.

There are two things we can do to improve the oil economy:

1. De-regulate the fancy oil regulations, they just get in the way of having enough quantity of oil.

2. Build more refineries, but that would be pro-business, and we all know Liberal Democrats are anti-business.

So where does that leave us?

Democrats want to increase their unending demand for more oil, without being realistic in dropping unnecessary oil regulations.

Also they want to increase taxes and gas taxes to help pay for it.

So pay attention people, to the consequences for environmental controls.

I do understand the desire to protect and preserve the natural wonders of the world.

But we must face realities of what it takes to live in this world.

So let's build more refineries, de-regulate oil, drill for oil in Alaska.

Here again the consequences of stupid thinking, we really can not afford to rely on oil-providing nations, we must have our supply for emergencies.

One Common Bond

I know it sounds like a term to start a war, but it's really been a slow casual to destory the fabric of America.

I am not saying all Liberal Democrats are evil. Just that their cause is the wrong cause.

Okay all of this started with the desire to help people and protect people from Government or Big Business. And as those problems went away, a new desire to get more votes went about.

So if they could not find problems to solve, they would have to create them.

Such as Racism, Homophobia, Welfare, Medicare, Healthcare are all issues Liberal Democrats have ridden and pushed to the hilt to stay in power. But if you look at the actual actions taken in those issues name, you'll be really shocked.

For example Racism, that is a very bad thing, and it's really hard to prevent, all you can really do is three things:

1. Educate people to treat each other equally.
2. Penalize people who discriminate in immoral ways. For example if two people are equally eligible, then discrimination is penalized. However there is a negative, that then bosses can't choose the people they want to hire. I am not saying it's always a good thing. But someone has to respect business needs to determine who they really want to hire.
3. Quota's don't work, they only allow people to be hired without merit, such as in the Jayson Blair case.

Now i myself know this from personal experience, I am a handicapped jewish person, with multiple handicaps. But do i want to be hired on basis of my handicaps? Hell no, that's the most demoralizing experience ever. I tried it several times, and i'd rather get a job based on merit, or no job. C'mon people don't we have any pride left?

I am honest here, I had a lot of struggle to get and keep jobs, just like the rest of you.

So racism is not something that can be switched on or off. It must be honestly addressed without getting heated about it.

Now let's talk about repayment based on prejudice that occured 2 centuries ago. I agree the past is not always a very respectable thing, but I find that the most negative approach towards being free and independent.

What America is so great about, not perfect, but great about. Is that anyone can come from anywhere, and work hard, find a living, and create a better, safer home and better future for themselves and their families then anywhere else.

All of us came from somewhere else, except American Indians. Which is okay, but then instead of focusing on bad crap from the past, we need to focus on the positive good things we can do now.

Also you are not African Americans, you are Americans, and I am very proud to call you fellow americans.

America is the home of the melting pot, where people of all cultures, come for one dream, one language, the dream of a better world for themselves and for their children/family.

We have to rediscover OUR COMMON BOND, that common thread that binds us.

We all experienced that in 911, that horrendous experience, and instead of us trying to follow that common bond and develop, we have become divisive and blameful.

Let's stop the blame, deal with the issues, and then move on.

In order for that to happen, we must become One Nation, One Dream, One Language.
